THE dedicated Marie Curie fundraising group for Moray will be out in force this month for the charity's Great Daffodil Appeal for 2023.
Marie Curie nurses provide care for those living with terminal illness in hospices and in homes.
The Moray team will be out and about with collection boxes and will hold a series of fundraising events to sustain the valuable end of life work provided by the charity's highly skilled nurses.
Events are set to take place in Kinloss, Lossiemouth, Spynie and Westfield with all speakers donating their time and expenses free of charge.
Veronica Maclean, Moray Fundraising Group leader, said: "We are very grateful to the public, independent fundraisers of all ages, our speakers, Allarburn Dairy and Moray Markets for their generous support.
"It is so touching to hear many heartfelt stories from the people we meet during our collections.
"They tell us of their experiences in losing a loved-one and how the Marie Curie nurses appear and work like angels.
"The Fundraising Group have witnessed first hand the nature of the work carried out by Marie Curie nurses.
"So, please do come along to our events and help us to help Marie Curie Care and support through terminal illness.”
This month's event will see Professor John Wilkins talk about "Diet.....Ancient and Modern Medicine" at Kinloss and Findhorn Parish Church at 7pm on March 23.
The charity's Moray fundraising doesn't stop there, however, with more fundraising events set to follow later this year.
There will also be a Marie Curie stall at the Lossie Town Hall Crafts Fair at 10am on Saturday April 22.
Then, on June 21 at 11am, Janet Morgan, Lady Balfour Burleigh, will give a talk about WW1 espionage.
