MORAY Food Plus' project manager Mairi McCallum has received a British Empire Medal for services to the community during the coronavirus pandemic.
Ms McCallum has been at the forefront of Moray Food Plus' effort to help Moray's most in-need during the crisis, dealing with previously unprecedented demand.

However, she was more interested in sharing the award with the rest of the team at the food bank.
She said: "It is wonderful that the hard work of the Moray Food Plus staff and volunteers has been acknowledged in this way.
"Thanks also go to our partner organisations and community groups who supported us so much at this time."
To give an idea of the level of demand faced by the group during the pandemic, Moray Food Plus provided emergency food provision for 1091 individuals during April this year – a huge increase from 446 last year.
