TsiMoray have been helping distribute grants from two participatory budgeting funds which have attracted a strong number of applications from local organisations and community groups across Moray for these funds.

Now, the Moray public can vote for which projects they think should receive the funding.

The Just Transitions Fund is for projects that help the region reduce its carbon footprint and help make the move to net zero. This fund, which is been delivered in conjunction with Money for Moray on behalf of the Scottish Government, has a pot of £333,333.

The Communities Wellbeing Fund is a pilot project funded by the National Lottery Communities Fund, that has £20,000 to give away in small grants to projects that are improving the wellbeing of people in their communities.

As people in Moray have the chance to vote for which groups get the cash, tsiMoray are holding a marketplace event this Thursday at the Laichmoray Hotel from 6pm-8pm where applicants to both funds are showcasing their projects, and where people can stop by, find out more, ask questions of applicants and vote.

Alternatively, voting is now open online for both funds at www.tsimoray.org.uk
