Secondary school teachers play a hugely important role in the lives of our young people.
Today, they are far more than solely educators. They can have a significant influence on the personal growth and development of their students, helping to prepare them for life outside of high school and into the wide world of work, college or university.
Moray & Banffshire Heroes 2024 recognises the vital and often long-lasting contribution they make to the lives of their students with the secondary school teacher of the year award.
The secondary school teacher of the year will be an individual who has made a significant difference, beyond the normal expectations, to the learning experience of their pupils or found innovative ways to teach that helps pupils enjoy it and be successful.

There is also a special award presented to the hero of heroes who is chosen by the judges from all of your category winners at the awards ceremony at The Banff Springs Hotel on April 25, 2024.
