In communities across Moray and Banffshire there are those very special folk who demonstrate the most remarkable courage by putting their own safety at risk to help someone, usually a complete stranger.

The award for emergency services/armed forces hero will be presented to an outstanding member of the emergency services or armed forces who has gone above and beyond the call of duty.
