Police have been notified. A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We have been made aware of vandalism at public toilets at Findhorn beach which happened sometime between the evening of Friday, September 3, and the morning of Saturday, September 4.

“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information can call 101, quoting incident 1575 of September 4.”

The Findhorn Village Conservation Company (FVCC) is currently trying to arrange replacement toilet.

FVCC thanked those who made donations for the upkeep of the car park and toilets in the donation boxes and via text to date.

A spokesperson for FVCC said: "While it is our plan to upgrade the toilet block if we are successful with our Community Asset Transfer and infrastructure funding applications for the toilet blocks, we did not expect to face this mindless destruction which has created unexpected expenditure and restricted the facilities available to the public."
