A planning, design, environmental, engineering and safety consultancy based at Forres Enterprise Park has employed a formerly independent businessman as a principal engineer.
Following the integration of GH Johnston Building Consultants (GHJ) as a new planning and design division within Mabbett and Associates, the company has welcomed former owner of GMC Surveys, Gary Mackintosh from Forres, as principal engineer.
Mr Mackintosh said: “I am excited to extend my services to a wider client base whilst introducing additional services to my existing clients.”
Mr Mackintosh’s expertise in drainage, topographical surveys and roads design will enhance Mabbett’s capabilities to development clients, particularly in Moray, Highland and Aberdeenshire.
The experienced engineering consultant is held in high regard by local authorities and key stakeholders. He also has an established personal and working relationship with Mabbett, having previously provided surveys to support planning applications.
Engineering director James Forbes said: “Gary’s capabilities in drainage, topography and roads design will broaden Mabbett’s offering, allowing us to provide greater depth of services to our development clients.”
Mabbett has key offices in Inverness, Forres and Aberdeen, as well as throughout the UK. The new appointment will support the consultancy’s expansion throughout the north and east.
