Cello quartet and classical soloists to perform at Pluscarden Abbey to raise money for charity

INTERNATIONAL musicians are performing in a historic local building - to raise funds for charity.
A cello quartet of John and Kirstin Mustard, Edward Clark and Samuel Nealon, with support from soloist Carl Topilow on clarinet, Oliver Clark on cello and Adam Csenki on piano, will be introduced by MC Alistair Farquhar on Thursday, August 17 from 8pm.
Mr Mustard said: “Attendees can expect a lively mix of accessible music. The concert will last about 75 minutes."
He added: "Carl Topilow is a world renowned clarinetist and conductor of the Cleveland Pops Orchestra.”
Mr Mustard has played in Carnegie Hall NY, Kennedy Centre DC, China, Japan, Hong Kong and Hawaii. He also performed with the National Repertory Orchestra at the Seoul Olympics.
Edward Clark recently won the Moray Young Musician Competition. He has Grade 8 distinction and an Associate of the Royal Schools of Music (ARSM) diploma.
Mr Nealon has Grade 8 distinction and an ARSM diploma.
Ms Mustard also has Grade 8 distinction and an ARSM diploma.
The programme will include: ‘Moon River’ by Henry Mancini; The Syncopated Clock - Leroy Anderson; and ‘The Syncopated Clock’ by Leroy Anderson.
There will be a collection at the door for Pluscarden Abbey Guest Appeal and SurfABLE Scotland.
