A free singing workshop for Moray's over-55s is being hosted by the Kinloss Military Wives Choir at Alves Hall.

The free workshop from 10.30am on Friday, May 19, is part of the Royal Voluntary Service First Time for Everything programme.

This gives people aged 55 and over the opportunity to try new activities in their local community.

Emma Plain, the choir's musical director, and some of its members will lead an uplifting morning of music and song, with refreshments available afterwards.

No singing experience is required, and the venue is both fully accessible and has parking.

Laura Chow is head of charities at the People’s Postcode Lottery which supports the programme.

She said: "It’s never too late to try something new and to have fun trying. First Time for Everything activities are an enjoyable way to be active and social."
