At present the local authority has an array of vacancies it is attempting to fill.

In order to help out, the Department of Work and Pensions has arranged the jobs fair for Thursday, February 2.

The event will allow applicants the opportunity to come along and find out what is available as well as finding out more about the roles and opportunities themselves.

A total of five departments have signed up for the event: Social Care; Lands and Parks (seasonal gardeners, tractor drivers, etc); DLO (maintenance and administration); Cleaning/janitorial/caretaking; Catering.

In addition to being a great chance to speak to various departments about posts available it will be an ideal opportunity to get early information on the upcoming seasonal positions due to become available with Lands and Parks.

These always prove popular and will be advertised over the course of next month.

The jobs fair will be run on a drop-in format so no appointment is necessary to attend.

Running from 11am to 12 noon, the event is being hosted by Moray Pathways Hub at Francis Place, Elgin.
