The IWSC has recognised the very best wines and spirits available globally after being founded by chemist Anton Massel 50 years ago in 1972.

The Forres based distiller scooped the awards for their Benromach Organic, Benromach 15 Year Old and Benromach 10 Year Old whiskies.

Keith Cruickshank, Distillery Manager at Benromach Distillery, said: "Every expression produced by Benromach Distillery is made by hand for genuine character by our small team of distillers who rely exclusively on their expertise and senses.

"To bring home three Gold accolades from the IWSC awards is a true reflection of the hard work and dedication that goes into producing our distinctive Speyside single malts."

This year's competition was the biggest yet with over 4,000 spirits from around the world judged by 85 leading spirit experts.

Each spirit was awarded a score before being recognised with Gold Outstanding, Gold, Silver or Bronze awards.

Benromach Organic is unique in the world of whisky being the first certified organic single malt whisky.

While the award winning 10 and 15 year old whiskies were both matured in bourbon and sherry casks to give a rich flavour.
