LOCALS across Moray are being urged to give their views on the region's on-demand bus service m.connect.

The service, which was officially launched in August last year, gives passengers the chance to choose an exact pick-up and drop-off location by using an Uber-style app.

Locals can book their journey between an hour and two weeks before their timeslot but the service is still to be fully rolled out across the region.

Now, a series of drop-in sessions will be held across towns and villages in Moray throughout March for anyone who uses the service to share their views.

Some of the topics up for discussion will include existing bus services, what needs improved as well as what the ideal type of bus service would look like and what days, times and how often it should run.

Councillor Marc Macrae, Chair of Moray Council’s Economic Development and Infrastructure Services Committee, said: "These engagement sessions are open to the whole community to get involved and we’re relying on locals to help shape public bus services that link communities to employment, educational and leisure facilities better."

Drop-in sessions take place on the following dates and locations:

  • Tuesday March 19: 10.30am-12.30pm Hopeman Memorial Hall
  • Tuesday March 19: 2pm-6pm Burghead Community Hall
  • Wednesday March 20: 10am-12pm Lossiemouth Community Centre
  • Wednesday March 20: 2pm-4pm Elgin Community Centre
  • Thursday March 21: 2pm-4pm Findhorn Village Centre
  • Friday March 22: 10am-12pm Lhanbryde Community Hall
  • Tuesday March 26: 9.30am-11.30am Kinloss Village Hall
  • Tuesday March 26: 6pm-8pm Lossiemouth Community Centre
