A COLOURFUL character is set to moove into Grant Park this month to raise funds and awareness for a local charity.

A herd of Hospice Highland Coos are hitting the streets for the charity’s second Highland-wide art trail – this spring and summer, the 22 Heilan Coos will be grazing in every town that has a Highland Hospice Shop.

Highland Hospice confirmed there will be an accompanying ‘Coo Scavenger Hunt’, with mini-models hidden in each of their 14 shops, including at 43 High Street, Forres.

A spokeswoman said: “The Forres Coo is designed by a lady called Dorcas McPhee and is sponsored by Riverside Kitchens.

“There will be more in Inverness!

“Each coo has been painted by a Highland artist and sponsored by a Highland business.

“The trail will be live from April 15 to August 21 when they will all gather together in an Inverness location over August 27 and 28 before being auctioned off to raise funds for Highland Hospice in September.”

Highland-based wildlife sculptor, Scott Gleed, created the fun, four-foot models.

The Forres coo will be placed at the Sunken Gardens.
