THERE will be family fun and exercise, Halloween-style, at Brodie Castle this weekend.

On Saturday and Sunday, custodian the National Trust for Scotland is running a scavenger hunt in the shrubbery.

Castle operations manager, James Dean, confirmed the trust's free-to-attend event is bookable online and features riddles to solve - those who find and complete them all will win sweet treats.

He said: "This year we have had to scale back our Halloween plans completely but families and visitors can still enjoy a wander around the grounds and complete some riddles along the way!

"Entertainment will still be provided over the weekend in a safe outdoor environment where family groups can walk together and keep socially distanced from others.

"We would ask visitors to stick to the latest guidance, including wearing face coverings where required, and carefully observe social distancing."

The castle remains closed to visitors at the moment, but the café and Playful Garden are open Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
