Dr Bullock is an internationally renowned teacher of spirituals, gospel music and African songs.

She teaches and plays the piano at the same time. Her larger than life personality is evident in her teaching.

This event is the first of a three week UK tour and Bill Henderson, local singing teacher and choir leader who is organiser of the visit said: “We are so very lucky to have her come to Findhorn again.

"She is in such great demand and I am sure that people who experience her for the first time will find this a life-changing experience. For me she is the most exciting and uplifting singing teacher that I have ever worked with."

Kathy Bullock has visited the Universal Hall four times before. A Professor of Music at Berea College, Kentucky where she has worked for the past 25 years, Kathy has earned a PhD and MA in music theory from Washington University in St Louis.

The day workshop will be learning and singing a number of African-American gospel songs and will also include something from her African song repertoire.

“An evening with Kathy Bullock” will be an evening of songs for all to sing, as well as something about the history of gospel music.

Tickets for the day workshop entitle you to free entry to the evening event, tickets for which can be purchased separately. Tickets are available at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/4051789 or the Phoenix Stores at Findhorn.
