TONIGHT'S episode of Pointless on BBC One will have a Forres flavour to it.

Alisha MacPhee (30), from the town, is set to appear on the prime time quiz show, alongside friend Maryanne Orr, who's from Fife.

Pointless, presented by Alexander Armstrong, rewards contestants for niche and obscure knowledge and is on BBC One at 5.15pm.

If unsuccessful tonight, Alisha and Maryanne will return to screens on Monday, and potentially Tuesday.

Normally contestants are given just two chances on the show, but this episode was filmed during the coronavirus pandemic and the protocols that were in place at the time allow for a potential third appearance.

Alisha travelled to studios in Elstree and Borehamwood, near London, for the recording of the episodes between May 23 and 25, 2021.

She has been forced to keep the result to herself, not even telling immediate family, for around 20 months.
