Police Scotland confirmed that officers were called to reports of an injured man on North Road, behind the community centre, shortly after 4am this morning.

A window has been smashed outside the property that the police were called to, with blood stains on the concrete.

It is believed the injured man was then taken to – or turned up at – the police station, before being taken to hospital. The cause of his injuries remains unclear at this stage.

Cordons are in place at the home on North Road and at Forres Police Station, where blood is also visible on the door and bannister.
