TWO local businesses have pledged support for the armed forces community - officially.
The Cleaner Moray and Moray Firth Credit Union (MFCU) have signed the Armed Forces Covenant and accepted Bronze Employer Recognition Scheme awards.
Former RAF serviceman, The Cleaner operations manager, Shaun Moat, confirmed the company cleans quarters for military personnel who are marching out.
He said: “Having seen first hand the hard work and commitment our reserve force do to support serving personnel, it’s important to show our support.”
The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise that those who serve or have served in the armed forces and their families are treated fairly and should not face disadvantage when seeking to access goods and services in the UK.
The Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) acknowledges employers who provide exceptional support to the forces community through bronze, silver and gold awards.
Moray Firth Credit Union chairwoman, Lorna Creswell, said: “It’s important to support our armed forces community.”
