A FORRES-based based digital telecoms company has won a national award.

Fibre 1 - whose headquarters is at the Enterprise Park, Horizon Scotland - was crowned ‘Reseller of the Year’ during the Comms Business Awards at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

Managing director Stewart Macdonald said: “We are proud to have developed relationships with industry leaders to provide a portfolio of data, voice and hosting services to businesses. Our products include fibre connectivity, hosted telephony, FTTC, FTTP, leased lines and VPLS networks. We have been able to successfully provide services to customers previously that these were not available due to location. We have an excellent project management team and exceptional customer care.”

Fibre 1’s directors headed to England for one of the biggest events in the telecoms calendar, where they re-connected with fellow industry members. The directors thanked their team for working so hard, as well as customers and partners for support over the last four years.

Mr Macdonald added: “We cannot accomplish all that we need to do without working together.”

Fibre 1 is now focused on the ISDN switch-off, with Openreach phasing out ISDN lines by 2025.
