Forres area set for hot end to the week as temperatures near 30 degrees Celsius

FORRES is set for a scorching end to the week with temperatures to near 30 degrees Celsius.

Temperatures are set to hit 28 degrees Celsius in town tomorrow, with Findhorn and Kinloss to be a little bit cooler at 26 degrees Celsius.

Unfortunately for Forres folk, a thunderstorm is also set to strike in the middle of the afternoon tomorrow.

Elsewhere in Moray, Elgin is set for temperatures of 28 degrees Celsius today and tomorrow, with Lossiemouth and Buckie expected to be 26 degrees Celsius.

Keith will be slightly cooler with a peak of 24 degrees Celsius.

A thunderstorm warning is in place UK-wide from Friday at noon until Saturday at 9am.
