FIVE hundred patient places are being made available at a local dentist this weekend.

The practice at 10 Falconer Avenue is holding an open morning from 10am-noon on Saturday, October 21 to register new NHS patients.

Owner Hiranya Fadia confirmed Forres Dental Care has been acquired by the 8to8 Dental group.

He said: "We are now offering new services including sedation dentistry, dental implants, facial aesthetics for anti wrinkle treatment) and removal of impacted wisdom teeth.

"Registered patients now have a one stop shop rather than having to travel to Aberdeen or Inverness."

More than 5500 patients are already registered at 8to8 Dental Forres.

There are no postcode restrictions but anyone registering will need to complete medical forms.

"Please bring a list of any medicines you take," said Mr Fadia. "We also ask people to sign our booking and cancellation policy as we like to run an efficient book."

Forres Dental Care owned by Gordon Smart and Ken Glass was acquired by 8to8dental in February.

Based in Buckie and Keith, 8to8 Dental is owned by Hiranya and Dorothy Fadia.

Mr Fadia and Gordon Smart met nine years ago through a mutual interest in training dentists.

Mr Fadia finished: "Joining 8to8 Dental secures the future of the practice and helps develop existing and new services."
