Findhorn's Universal Hall nominated as Best Venue at the 20th Scots Trad Music Awards

Findhorn's Universal Hall has been nominated for a prestigious traditional music award.

The venue is in running for the prize for best venue at the 20th Scots Trad Music awards.

The team at Universal Hall said they are "honoured and delighted" to be nominated for the awards and will be heading off to the awards ceremony at Dundee's Caird Hall on December 4 to hear the results.

Other nominees for the venue of the year award are Knoydart Community Hall in Inverie, Perth Concert Hall and The Tolbooth in Stirling.

The public can cast their vote and see the full list of award nominees here. Voting for the awards will be open until midnight on Sunday 20 November.

A spokesperson for Universal Hall added: "Whatever the end result, we're excited to have been nominated, to be attending the ceremony, and wish all of the other nominees for this year's awards the very best of luck with the voting."
