MORE than 40 people attended a book launch near Findhorn focused on a brain disorder that most commonly affects many people in later life.

Attendees gathered to meet author of ‘Between Two Worlds: A Little Book of Alzheimer’s Revelations’, Maggie La Tourelle, at the Phoenix Café in the Ecovillage, and to hear the audio play of the same name.

They heard La Tourelle’s insights through the words of her mother and enjoyed the play written by Penny Black, directed by Jake Murray, and acted by Juliet Stevenson CBE (known for her roles in ‘Truly, Madly, Deeply’) and Tony Award winner, Jane Lapotaire (renowned for her work in ‘The Crown’ and ‘Downton Abbey’).

Between Two Worlds is an exploration of Alzheimer’s.

The author, who lives at Findhorn Ecovillage, describes it as “a journey that transcends the boundaries of memory and consciousness”.

Ms La Tourelle invites readers to “discover Alzheimer’s in a way you have never experienced it before”.

She added: “This little book will change your perception of Alzheimer.”

Between Two Worlds connects understanding and compassion for those affected by the enigmatic condition.

Drawing on neuroscience, La Tourelle aims to transform the perception of Alzheimer’s and its impact.
