FAMILIES are invited to enjoy music, story-telling, dancing and theatre at Findhorn this weekend.

Local charity Theatre of the 7 Directions (T7D) is hosting a Christmas artist hunt across The Park Ecovillage on Saturday, December 16 from 2pm, where performers will be stationed all over the site for participants to discover.

An event organiser said: "The event will feature a Santa’s grotto with gifts for the kids. All children are admitted free and adults can attend at a suggested donation of £3.

"Proceeds after covering costs will fund even more events and ecotheatre programmes for children in the future."

TD7 creates ecoproductions and participatory ecotheatre programs which aim to improve health and wellbeing.

The spokesperson said: "Ecotheatre addresses humans’ connection to nature and ecology.

"Through workshops combining performance art with self-improvement techniques, participants are guided through fostering deeper relationships with their inner-selves, other humans, and all of life around them."

T7D’s most recent event was their November play ‘Nettle & I’ - nearly 200 spectators watched the preview performance at Universal Hall. With actor Alessandro Guetta, and French musical duo ‘Keryda’, director Laura Pasetti plans to tour this show around Scotland in the coming year.

"Visitors are advised to wrap-up as it will take place outside around the ecovillage."

This event is run in collaboration with the New Findhorn Association.
