THOUSANDS of visitors flocked to Brodie Castle over the weekend to follow the Easter egg trails.
Attendees used their chocolate detecting skills to find clues around a small trail in the shrubbery or a larger trail around the estate to solve the puzzle and win delicious prizes.
Operations manager Pamela Hill confirmed the trails were followed at least 700 times in four days.
She said: “The atmosphere was buzzing in beautiful sunny weather for much of the time.
“I spotted plenty of happy kids and parents. We had such good feedback - everyone loved them so much we’re carrying them on over the rest of the Easter holidays!”
The funds raised support the National Trust for Scotland’s work in caring for and protecting cultural and natural assets.
Visitors can tour the turreted castle and collection of furniture, ceramics and artwork. See https://www.nts.org.uk/visit/places/brodie-castle for more information.
