Emergency tree felling will see the road beside Forres Golf Club blocked off for the rest of the day.
A section of Edgehill Road has been closed by Moray Council while the work is carried out.
Anyone wanting to drive to the clubhouse will instead have to go via Clovenside Road near the filling station.
