The Scottish Chamber Orchestra's string players are going to be performing in Moray next month

A sumptuous programme at the Universal Hall in Findhorn will explore music through the Baroque, Classical and Romantic eras.

Highlights set to include Mozart’s Serenade No 13 – better known as Eine Kleine Nachtmusik – which is one of the composer’s most enduringly popular works.

Figuring prominently in Amadeus, the multi Oscar-winning 1984 film, it has long since become iconic

Meanwhile, Mozart’s Fantasie in F minor, originally written for an amazingly complex mechanical organ, will be performed in an arrangement for strings only.

Also featured will be Mendelssohn’s String Symphony No 10, which is the 19th Century German composer at his very best.
