DWP issue festive season benefits payment dates

THE Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) have announced when benefits will be paid over the festive period.

This also includes office opening hours.

Payment dates: Due December 26-27, paid on Friday, December 23; Due December 28, Universal Credit paid as normal, all other benefits paid December 23; Due January 2, paid on Friday, December 30; Due January 3, Universal Credit paid as normal, all other benefits paid on Friday, December 30.

Office opening hours: Friday, December 23 – Office and phone lines will be open; Monday, December 26 - Tuesday, December 27 – Office and phone lines will be closed; Wednesday, December 28 - Friday, December 30 – Office and phone lines will be open; Monday, January 2 -Tuesday, January 3 – Office and phone lines will be closed; Wednesday, January 4 onwards – Office and phone lines will be open.
