MORAY primary schools welcomed back old and new pupils yesterday, including two sets of adorable twins.

Five-year-olds Evie and Eleanor Robertson, who are identical twins, started West End Primary School over in Elgin.

Meanwhile at Anderson’s Primary in Forres, William and Isabella Stevenson think school has been “really good” so far.

Isabella said it’s “very nice” being in a class with her twin brother.

She also knows a lot already about numbers and can even write and spell her own name.

They play together a lot along with their old friends from Rainbow Childcare and their new ones they’ve made since starting school.

William and Isabella have also enjoyed playing with their primary seven mentors ('buddies') and being shown around and learning about their new school.

They also like classes with their new teachers, playing outside in the playground and using the obstacle course behind the school.

By amazing coincidence, when asked what their favourite thing about school was so far, both sets of twins said they enjoyed "playing with sand".
