POLICE investigating the sudden death of a young woman in Forres have said it is not being treated as suspicious.

Officers were called to a house off the town's Market Street at around 4.20am on Saturday, July 18, after the sudden death of the 27-year-old.

The address at Logie Terrace was cordoned off and police stood on guard outside while the scene was examined.

Police initially treated the death as unexplained while completing their enquiries.

However, on Sunday afternoon a Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We can now confirm the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."
