The deadline for Just Transition Participatory Budgeting Fund applications is fast approaching.

A total of £500,000 is up for grabs in the region through the Just Transition Participatory Budgeting Fund to support projects from third sector organisations and community groups will help create a greener Moray.

Projects put forward for funding should match local needs and priorities with Moray residents residents invited to have the final say over which initiatives are funded through a public vote.

The deadline for applications is 12 noon on Monday, September 4.

After the deadline closes, the submissions will be assessed by a panel who will decide which ones qualify for the public vote stage. The public vote is expected to open on Friday, September 29 and run through to Friday, October 13.

The final results of the poll will be announced on Monday, October 30 with the funds disbursed in November. Funding awarded should be spent by March 31, 2024.
