A local primary has organised a fundraising fun run in a beautiful part of the area.

Dallas School’s first ‘Dallas Dash’ is open to all ages and abilities - it will follow the B9010 and through Dallas Estate on Saturday, May 27.

Chairwoman of Dallas PTA, Fiona Gibson, confirmed registration will open at 9.30am, with the race starting at 11am - and there will also be a 1km race for younger children beginning at 10.30am.

She said: “We want more people to enjoy a visit and we have the perfect 6k loop starting in the village through the Mulundy Wood. Participants will experience stunning views and serene landscapes. Medals will be awarded. But most importantly, there will be cake!”

Macbeth’s Butchers will be offering bacon rolls and sausages. The event is aimed at raising funds for the school.

Fiona said: “With budgets being stretched, the PTA raises funds to offer extra learning opportunities, be it online learning platforms or visiting groups. We also help to fund books, ipads and transport.”
