Forres defendant Marcin Matraszek will have to wait to hear his legal punishment after he contracted Covid.

The 41-year-old was due to be sentenced at Inverness Sheriff Court today, but will now be dealt with on April 22 instead.

On November 21, 2020, Matraszek tried to force his way into two homes and threatened to kill the occupant of one.

Police first used a spray in an unsuccessful bid to incapacitate him, before calling for reinforcements so an arrest could be made.

The legal proceedings against Matraszek, who has already pleaded guilty, were adjourned last month so that social workers could compile a report on his background and personality.
