CLAN Cancer Support's annual online auction launched last week, with the public encouraged to bid on an array of items to raise money for the charity.

The auction started on Wednesday, February 9, and will run until February 27. All money raised will support Clan's vital cancer support services.

Despite cancelling and postponing many events during the coronavirus pandemic, Clan has continued to provide support to people throughout the north-east as a result of online fundraising and events.

The online auction has proven to be a popular choice for many who prefer to support Clan virtually.

Clan's charity development manager, Ruth McIntosh, said: “We have a fantastic array of items to suit everyone and what better way to treat yourself and others while helping to support a local charity?

"From local artwork, afternoon teas and gift hampers, to luxury overnight stays and golf experiences, there will be something for everyone.

"We are very grateful to the individuals, families and businesses who have donated items to the auction.

“The last couple of years have been difficult for everyone, especially those facing a cancer diagnosis, so it’s more important than ever, now that we are returning to a sense of normal, that we still offer ways to support Clan that are accessible to all.

"Our online auction aims to be that platform that everyone can access. By supporting events like our online auction, you will allow us to be here for people facing a cancer diagnosis now and in the years to come.”

Clan's wellbeing centres, Clan Haven, transport and telephone support services support people affected by a cancer diagnosis across the north of Scotland.
