Forres Police report for October lists crimes including antisocial behaviour, violence and disorder and theft

ANTISOCIAL behaviour from young people in the centre of Forres is listed in the latest crime report for the area.

Forres Police have informed Forres Community Council of antisocial behaviour, violence and disorder, acquisitive crime as well as road safety and crime committed locally during November.

Inspector Andrew Meikleham confirmed Forres Police Station public counter is open from 8.15am-4pm Monday-Thursday and 8.15am- 2.45pm on Fridays.

He added: "Please contact myself or the Forres and Speyside Community Policing Team via ForresCPT@scotland.pnn.police.uk if there are any issues you wish to raise or discuss."

Whilst conducting weekend pub checks, two males were ejected from a local licensed premises for purchasing alcohol whilst underage, carrying false ID and providing false details to police. They will be reported. Licensing offences have been identified and the premises manager has been charged.

Two youths caused a disturbance in a local shop when attempting to steal two bottles of vodka. One male who made threats to staff has been charged and will be reported.

There were three reports of shoplifting in the Forres area. So far, two people have been reported or issued a formal warning.

There were three reports of fraud within the month. All were fraudulent Taylor Swift tickets “for sale” on Facebook.

A female pedestrian was knocked down in a road traffic accident outside the Greshop Filling Station on Nairn Road. The driver has been charged and will be reported for careless driving.

A male was reported for failing to stop after driving into another vehicle, causing damage and making no effort to stop. He will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

A female was arrested following a stop check of a vehicle in Forres after testing positive for cannabis during a roadside drug test. She will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal pending blood analysis.
