Circus performers, carol singing and excellent food and crafts are all promised this weekend during the Christmas Market at Findhorn eco-village.

Between 11am and 5.30pm on both Saturday and Sunday there’ll be over 30 craft stalls drawn from makers and producers across Moray and the Highlands.

Everything is taking place undercover, either in the Universal Hall or in a specially erected marquee.

A spokesperson said: "There’s plenty of food to eat on the spot or to take home, ranging from vegan and organic ready-prepared meals to seafood, baked goods, local honey and decadent treats.

"Enjoy the food, get that Christmas shopping done, then have a wander around to see the pioneering eco-houses, including homes made out of whisky barrels."

The market is run by the Findhorn Foundation and will raise funds for the community’s sanctuary, which burned down in April last year.
