Michael McGoldrick, John McCusker and John Doyle first jammed together as teenagers.

A quarter of a century later and they're still combining forces to share music with the world.

The trio have released two studio albums during the last three years.

The Reed That Bends in the Storm (2020) and The Wishing Tree (2018) both combine traditional, contemporary, and original instrumentals and songs of varying speeds, feels and flavours.

McGoldrick is first-class in flutes, whistles and Uillean pipes.

McCusker is one of Scotland’s foremost fiddlers.

While guitarist and vocalist Doyle is a giant of Irish traditional music who helped found the popular band Solas.

A spokesperson from Universal Hall said: "Watching these three play is like seeing old friends having a great time together. The hall is intimate which makes it the perfect setting for them."

McGoldrick, McCusker & Doyle are appearing on Thursday, February 17, at 7.30pm.

Book tickets at universalhall.co.uk.

Scottish Government Covid guidelines will be followed, meaning there will be no social-distancing but patrons will be asked to wear a mask unless exempt.
