BRODIE Castle will once again light up the dark autumn nights with the return of Brodie Illuminated.
As the nights draw in, families are being invited to book a magical after-dark experience at the National Trust for Scotland property after last year's inaugural event proved hugely popular.
The enchanting castle gardens will be made all the more atmospheric through the clever use of coloured lighting.
Brodie Illuminated will open on Wednesday, November 3, and the castle team are promising this year's event will be bigger and better.
The walls of the turreted 16th-century castle will be bathed in light, along with heritage trees in its grounds.
A trail through the shrubbery will take visitors along illuminated pathways. The trail has been extended this year to include the tree-lined West Avenue.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy music, a new covered catering area, and can bag some early Christmas presents at a new retail area.
James Dean, operations manager at Brodie Castle, said: "We are so excited to announce that our popular Brodie Illuminated is being staged for the second year and this year it will be even bigger and better.
"Thank you to all our supporters and members who made last year's event such a success.
"We are building on that to make the 2021 event even more memorable and look forward to welcoming you all back to a place you love."
Brodie Illuminated will run from Wednesdays to Saturdays, 5-9pm, until November 27. Ticket booking slots are every half hour from 5pm, with the last slots at 8pm. Refreshments will be served from 4pm on each event night.
