A man's body has been found in woods near Nairn.

Although formal identification has yet to take place, it follows a report of a missing man, Reece Spark.

Police launched an appeal for information on Sunday after he was last seen in Nairn that morning.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed this afternoon that the body of a man had been found near Culbin woods at around 9pm on Sunday

"The family of missing man Reece Spark, who had been missing since the morning of Sunday, August 9, have been made aware of the discovery," she continued.

"Formal identification is yet to take place and a post mortem will carried out in due course to establish the exact cause of death.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious."
