A local event aimed at encouraging more people to consider cycling over short journeys was a great success.
The ‘Bike Fest’ took place in Grant Park.
And more than 250 people attended, which a Moray Council spokeswoman said was their busiest Bike Fest so far.
She added: “Highlights included seeing so many families and local groups enjoying trying new bikes and obstacle courses, as well as sharing tips and ideas about cycling and cycling groups and routes.
“This kind of support is crucial if people are going to develop the confidence to cycle short journeys instead of taking their cars.”
The day also included fun for the youngsters, trying out a bicycle which made smoothies.
Even the local constabulary tried out a new mode of transport, although whether it will take off in active service remains to be seen.
The council spokeswoman added: “The way you get around each day can make a big difference to our health and wellbeing as well as our carbon footprint.”
