Witness appeal following attempted break-in at Meikle Crook, Forres

POLICE are appealing for information about an attempted break-in to a home in Forres.

The incident occurred in mid-December - officers are particularly interested in talking to potential witnesses who were seen nearby at the time.

Detective Constable Steve Borzoni from Elgin Criminal Investigation Department confirmed the event at Meikle Crook happened at around 5.15pm on Thursday, December 15.

He said: "Following enquires, we are looking to speak with two potential witnesses who were walking on Iowa Place then. They may have seen a person in dark clothing running down Iowa Place from the direction of Meikle Crook."
