Ardal O'Hanlon has added Findhorn to the very start of his nationwide tour later this year.

The Irish comedian and actor rose to fame portraying Dougal in the much-loved TV comedy Father Ted.

His many other credits include leading roles in Death in Paradise (BBC), My Hero (BBC), Derry Girls (C4), Big Bad World (ITV) and Blessed (BBC).

On top of that he once played a cat creature in Dr Who (BBC) and a seedy teacher in Skins (C4).

His debut novel, The Talk Of The Town, was included in 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die.

Brouhaha, his second novel, was released earlier this year.

The tour will kick off at Findhorn's Universal Hall on November 4.
