Year 2 of the has two funding levels – small grants up to £2000 for un-constituted groups and larger grants up to £12,000 for established groups.

The fund is open to new and existing projects and is open to all groups, no matter their size.

It aims to continue to support local, grassroot initiatives. Year 2 funding will seek to build on progress made, and work to ensure individuals who are marginalised and disadvantaged are prioritised.

The overarching aim of the fund is to support community based initiatives that promote and develop good mental health and wellbeing and/or mitigate and protect against the impact of distress and mental ill health within the adult population.

A particular focus has been put on: Tackling priority issues within the Transition and Recovery Plan such as suicide prevention, social isolation and loneliness, poverty and inequality, prevention and early intervention; Addressing the mental health inequalities exacerbated by the pandemic and the needs of a range of ‘at risk’ groups locally; Supporting small ‘grass roots' community groups organisations to deliver such activities; Providing opportunities for people to connect with

each other, build trusted relationship and revitalise communities.

Local projects taking a proactive approach in prevention, early intervention, reducing risk factors and inequalities are encouraged to apply.

Those seeking a larger grant are also encouraged to demonstrate partnership working within their communities.
