Ross ‘Chucky’ Macpherson has given more than a decade of loyal service to the Can-Cans.

His testimonial year will kick off with a friendly against Ross County, newly promoted back to the Scottish Premier League.

Macpherson has made more than 300 appearances for the Mosset Park club and was captain for two seasons, during which time he lifted the Highland League trophy and led the team out against Rangers in the Scottish Cup.

He has scored 20 goals during his time with the club, however, it is his leadership qualities and driving determination that he is best known.

Alan Angus, a member of his testimonial committee, said Ross County are sending a strong squad to Mosset Park for Saturday’s game which kicks off at 3pm.

“Ross is a battling midfielder who deserves his moment in the limelight,” he added.
