Riders at Mundole Equestrian enjoy the sunshine for latest dressage event

COMPETITORS from Dores to Newmill were rewarded with sunshine at Mundole Equestrian’s dressage event last weekend.

Moray riders were prominent with Birnie's Ruth Vaughan-Henry on Sundancer winning the Elementary 55, Alves' Joanne Philip leading Maximum Force to victory in prelim 17A and Elgin's Vicky Penman also a winner on Cottontail.

Those taking part were judged by Kimberley Battleday, Fortrose and Carolyn Thomas, Keith.

Judges commented on the quality of horses forward with great prospects for moving up the levels in dressage.

The next dressage is on September 20 and all competitors have the chance to take part in the finals in October.


Prelim 2: 1 Vicky Penman, Elgin (Cottontail); 2 Claire Milne, Nairn (Marshalls Meadows Gypsy Rose); 3 Rachel Boulton, Kinloss (The Normal One).

Prelim 17A: 1 Joanne Philip, Alves (Maximum Force); 2 Hannah Whyte, Elgin (Dowhills Mr Harvey); 3 Rachel Boulton (The Normal One).

Novice 28: 1 Sandra Macdonald, Inverness (Faside Je T'Aime); 2 Sheila Stewart, Munlochy (Greenwing Hillbilly); 3 Emma Gilbert, Lossiemouth (Eira).

Novice 37A: 1 Sheila Stewart (Greenwing Hillbilly); 2 Kirsteen Macleod, Inverness (Bruno); 3 Sandra Macdonald (Faside Je T'Aime).

Elementary 50: 1 Candy Cameron, Dores (Chaco).

Elementary 55: 1 Ruth Vaughan-Henry, Birnie (Sundancer); 2 Candy Cameron (Chaco).

WT 2: 1 Sam Winn, Newmill (Bulwark Bay); 2 Annie McGovern, Elgin (Pride); 3 Rosanna Fraser, Dunphail (Annagh Blue Boy).

WT 4: 1 Claire Milne (Marshalls Meadows Gypsy Rose); 2 Sam Winn (Bulwark Bay); 3 Rosanna Fraser (Annagh Blue Boy).
