Scottish Cup draw is made today with 14 Highland League clubs entering at second preliminary round stage

Brora Rangers and Fraserburgh receive a bye to first round proper while Forres Mechanics have not entered this year.

The Scottish Cup has a new format

First out of the bowl at 2.30pm today will be two ties in the opening prelim round on November 28, drawn from 26 clubs in the East and South of Scotland leagues plus juniors including Aberdeen side Banks o' Dee.

Musselburgh Athletic, the only team without a club licence at the date of the draw, must play in the first prelim and three others will be drawn out, with 22 receiving a bye to the second stage.

North Caledonian League Golspie Sutherland have elected not to compete this year.

At the second stage, the two winners and 22 byes will be joined by 14 Highland League and 14 Lowland League teams, with ties contested on Saturday, December 12.
