TWO youngsters who were on loan at Forres Mechanics last season are among a group of players released by Ross County today.
The Dingwall-based outfit announced they wouldn't be giving new contracts to 14 players, including Declan Hughes and Ruari Fraser.
Hughes has returned to his native Australia. Mechanics manager Charlie Rowley, though, is interested in bringing Fraser back in next season.
He said: "Ruari quite rightly has aspirations of playing full time football.
"But if Highland League is an option for him then we would be interested in bringing him back in.
"Ruari was one of our top performers last season and I think competition will be strong in terms of teams wanting to bring him in.
"We hope for him, for his own personal aspirations, that he does get full time football."
On-loan Keith duo Jack Grant and Gregor MacDonald have also both been let go.
Rowley has signalled a formal interest in both, along with Inverness-based youngster Thomas Brady.
He added: "It's just the making contact phase, at the moment, to let them know of our interest. We can't have more dialogue and offer contracts at the moment for obvious reasons."
Jack Murray, who was on loan with Buckie Thistle, Tom Kelly, James Wallace and Tommy Dixon-Hodges were the other youngsters let go, alongside first team players Lewis Spence, Sean Kelly, Declan McManus and Richard Foster.
