THE Wednesday Seniors welcomed the Ladies to a joint competition – the Spring Meeting – a 3 Ball Best-Ball format with two men and one lady in each team.
Twenty teams took part in the competition, and on a dull and blustery day, there was a competitive edge to the proceedings. Four teams managed to score 59 each, but one team – Fiona Grant, Tony Brown and Stewart McDonald – dominated the whole field with an exceptional score of 54.
The prizes were presented by the Lady Captain – Dorothy Marshall – and nearly £200 was raised for charity from a raffle of prizes donated by the players.
