Forres Mechanics return to training after lockdown, with three new faces in action

FORRES Mechanics returned to training last night ahead of the upcoming Highland League season.

The league, due to begin on October 17, will see each club play 16 matches – eight home and eight away.

The Cans' first match back after lockdown is pencilled in for September 19, with Nairn St Ninian due to be the opponents.

Last week, the club moved early to secure the services of defender Dale Wood and midfielder Jack Grant for the campaign – with the duo taking part in their maiden training session last night.

Youngster Thomas Brady is also on trial with Mechanics after his release from Ross County.
