Home side ousted by Cooper Park





FINDHORN Bowling Club’s invitation to the Ladies’ Invitation Triples

competition was accepted by eight Moray bowling clubs – Buckie Victoria, Cooper Park, Elgin; Forres Grant Park, Hopeman, Lossiemouth and Moray.

Three teams from the home club made a total of 11 overall.

The weather was glorious and the green was in great condition, showing Findhorn Bowling Club at its best.

The format of the day was two included playing round robin tournaments, with the leaders of each section playing off for top place.

At the conclusion of the round robin section, afternoon tea was served and every lady was presented with a memento of the occasion.

The final play-off for top place was between Cooper Park and the Findhorn team three, with Cooper Park emerging victorious.

The event was sponsored by Varis Engineering, who also provided the catering, mementoes and prizes.

Joan Tomkinson presented the prizes to the runners-up and the winners on behalf of the company.
